We are a small, private foundation. We make a limited number of grants each year and are deliberate about where we direct our attention.
We look for:
- Opportunities where a well-timed, specific grant will have an outsized effect
- Work with direct, immediate, and measurable outcomes
- Lean operations — we expect overhead to remain below 15%
- Organisations interested in an ongoing relationship, not a one-off transaction
- Moments where our involvement tips something that wouldn’t otherwise tip
We do not fund:
- Operating overhead or capital assets as a primary purpose
- Grants to individuals
- Unsolicited proposals from organisations we have not engaged with first
All grants require a US-based 501(c)3 as a funding conduit. International giving is welcome within that structure. All grants are administered through the National Philanthropic Trust.
