Beyond our work in dementia research, we support a small number of organisations each year where we believe a specific, well-timed grant will tip something in the right direction.
These grants are intentionally few. We are not trying to cover ground or respond to campaigns. We are looking for the moments where focused support will make a difference that wouldn’t otherwise happen — in communities facing acute need, in organisations doing serious work without adequate recognition, and in places where the outcome of our involvement will be visible and real.
Current areas of interest include community development and direct care in Kenya, local giving in and around Vero Beach, Florida, and occasional support for humanitarian work where our involvement can be both immediate and measurable.
We call this part of our giving the Kismet Fund.
